Employ an Older Worker
This is National Employ Older Workers Week (NEOWW)! We have employed older workers through the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) for 40 years!
You can read more about our program below. We have also included links to articles about the benefits of employing older workers.
The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) offers unemployed, low-income individuals 55 and older job training opportunities at non-profit and public facilities in the region. Participants gain valuable experience and are paid minimum wage while serving approximately 20 hours per week at their assigned agency. Contact Daffney Harris, Program Coordinator, for more information on how you can be a part of this program.
We are always seeking new host agencies to partner with us. If you are a 501(c)(3) non-profit or a governmental agency and are looking to offer an opportunity for an older worker, we would love to talk to you.
