NARCOG will be hosting its Rural Planning Organization (RPO) Committee and Public Involvement Meetings in June across Cullman, Lawrence, and Morgan Counties, and we encourage community members, stakeholders, and partners to attend one of the scheduled sessions.
These annual meetings provide an important opportunity to hear directly from NARCOG and Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) staff on rural transportation priorities, upcoming projects, and regional planning efforts. Your input plays a key role in shaping transportation decisions that impact our communities.
This year’s discussions will include updates to the State Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP) County Highway Projects list, FY26 RPO Work Program performance, the draft FY27 Work Program, and the NARCOG Regional Traffic Safety Action Plan. Attendees will also hear proposed amendments to the 2025 Human Services Coordinated Transportation Plan (HSCTP), along with information on current and upcoming grant opportunities for transportation projects.
